Short Game Masterclass Dates and Lee's Latest performance on the Tartan Tour

The Craibstone Golf Academy are delighted to announce another series of Short Game Masterclass clinics with PGA Professional Lee Vannet.

These short game clinics have been running all season long and are proving to be very successful with so many students slashing their handicaps and scoring personal bests.

Each Masterclass runs for 6 consecutive weeks, and Lee will coach you in the art of Green Reading, choosing the correct putter to fit you correctly, perfect practice procedures as well as efficient Chipping, Pitching and Bunker techniques. Due to the amazing short game facilities at Craibstone Golf Academy, we can simulate any lie that you will find on the golf course. Making the right club selection is vital as is understanding the Rules of Golf. All of these areas are covered in this comprehensive learning clinic.

Ellon Golf Club Pro-am

On Friday 11th August, I played in the Ellon Golf Club pro-am with The Senior Men's team from Ellon Golf Club.

We had a great time and I played solidly for a1 over par score of 71, to,finish 11th in the individual event.

Condotions were wet and windy, and the course played long due to the soft fairways.

The highlight of my round was making a par on the extremely challenging 17th hole which played right in to the wind. I hit the best drive of the day here, focusing on smooth tempo and staying in balance! There's a good tip for anyone!

The Ellon Pro-am is one of the longest running pro-arms on the Tartan Tour circuit, and I would like to thank all the members for making it such a Great event along with all the sponsors and pro-am committee for their continued support. I look forward to playing in their 30th year next year. I remember playing in their very first pro-am in the 80's.
