Annual Par 3 Masters Shootout!
Saturday 9th April 2016
Last night we ran our annual Par 3 Shootout on the 7th hole.
A huge thank you to the 20 members and guests who took part.
After the qualifying heats, we went in to the final 5, which consisted of Gordon Brown( defending champion) Neil Masson, Peter Low who dialed in his distances following a TrackMan Gapping session with me on Tuesdsy, Daniel Sim and Derek Cruickshank who won the first shootout in 2014.
With some great shots being hit, we wittled down the 5 players to the final 2 of Daniel Sim and Derek Cruickshank.
Derek having the honour, showed nerves of steel by firing his tee shot to 4 feet from the hole.
Daniel, who very nearly holed in one on a previous round struck a fine shot just left of the pin, but his ball fell just short of the winner!
Congratulations to Derek, who now looks forward to become a 3 time champion next year! I told you all those lessons would pay off Derek!
We raised £115 for the Junior Fund, so a very big thank you to all who took part .
