Course Open Today Book Studio Time
Sunday 6th August 2017
This week from Monday 31st July to Friday 4th August, we held our 2nd Summer Camp of the holidays.
With almost a full compliment of 9 campers, we had a great turnout.
Each day, our campers participated in Fun warm up games, from Golf Rounders to Circle of Doom and Battleships as well as learning new skills, we place a high emphasis on good Attitude, Etiquette and Behaviour.
I am pleased to say that all our golfing campers demonstrated good team work and consideration for others.
The camp started at 9am each day till 1pm, and all the kids expressed surprise when it was time to go, stating that "it cannot be that time already". Can't get better praise than that.
Although the numbers were uneven, we had 2 teams, Europe and USA. We played Ryder Cup format, with Texas Scramble events on the Golf Academy course as well as the first 6 holes on the main course, on Friday, our final day, both teams scored 28 for 6 holes and the result of the Ryder Cup had to be decided by a Play- Off. This was a nearest the hole pitch shot, and the competition was incredibly close, Euan Lawson for Europe hit his pitch to 10 feet, and then Oliver Moore for the USA hit his to 7 feet to clinch victory for the US side.
All campers were presented with a Goody-Bag, with special prizes going to Lucy Moir for the most creative Golf hole design and Mitchell aka 'The Putting Master' Sinclair winning the Best Attitude prize voted on, by all the campers.
Our New 10 week Clubgolf Blocks will be starting soon on Saturdays and Sundays, to sign up your child for the course, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The age group is from 8-14, however there has been some enquiries for 5-7 year olds, if we have enough numbers , this will also go ahead.
