The qualifying competition for the 2017 Scottish PGA Championship to be played at Gleneaglesin October, was held at Crieff Golf Club yesterday 29th August.
My score of 2 over par 73 on a windy day, with greens that were incredibly firm and very fast, was enough to force a playoff with in total 7 players.
After all 7 players made par on the Par 3, 1st hole, we all moved on to the 2nd hole, where I hit a good drive and approach to 20 feet and holed the putt for a birdie to be one of the 3 players who all birdied and secured a spot in the upcoming Scottish Professionals Championship which will be held at Gleneagles in October from the 16th to the 19th.
The key to performing in a Play-off is to stay calm, remain focused and TRUST your swing, Burn a hole in your target in your minds eye and COMITT to your DECISION.
The key to performing well, especially when you don't play a lot of golf is to play within yourself and BE PATIENT. You MUST RELAX and Let things Happen, don't try to make it happen.
With all My Performance Coaching Programs, I coach students how to access a Playing Mindset. This is the Master Key to Bringing your Best Game to the course every time you play.
