Masters Par 3 Shootout

Last Friday 7th Apil we held our 4th Annual Masters Par 3 Shootout in the 7thteeez
Thank you to all who took part, in total we had 31 participants, our highest yet, and we raised £175 for our ClubGolf Junior Trip to St.Andrews in June.
This year, we had 4 juniors taking part as well as a good mix of Lady members, Seniors and Gents. Tomaz kept the bar and kitchen open to keep all competitors and spectators watered and fed- the steak pies were awesome!
The top 5 closest competitors qualified for the shootout with the longest shot only 64 inches from the hole, the leading qualifier was 19 inches from the hole, this was achieved by the youngest player, our Junior Player of 2016 Andrew Stewart who was awarded a junior membership at our Christmas Party , very well done Andrew, and to all the juniors with your stellar play( our junior section is beginning to gather momentum)
in the shootout, 2 players rose to the top, last years finalist Daniel Sim ( showing his consistency ) and first timer Simon Downing- with all the pressure on the final shots , Simon kept his nerve and hit his approach to 5 feet to become our 2017 Masters Par 3 Champion!
Special mention to Stuart Moyle and Rob MacPherson who enrolled in my development programme and have achieved best scores and lowered handicaps this year already.
