Skycaddie Pro-Captain Challenge

The Skycaddie Pro/Captain Challenge was played last week Tuesday 7th August at The West Lothian Golf Course.

Club Captain Stuart Milne and myself took part in what was a very well run event , over a stunning venue overlooking the Firth of Forth.

The format was a Stableford Better Ball with Stuart receiving his full handicap of 5 shots.

We dovetailed well with a total of 43 points for a 7 Under par total. Stuart had 2 net birdies as well as a natural birdie on the 17th hole, we could have added to our points table another 3 pts, but even with this , would have still finished 2 points behind Stirling Golf Club.

The secret to scoring well in this format, is just to play your own game, stay patient and let the birdies come to you, NEVER force a score- Mindset is so important when it comes to trying to access your best golf, and this is something I Coach all my Long Term Development Players - along with Short Game Scoring Games and Improved Skills as well as Practice Strategies to help you handle the pressure of finishing off a good round .
