When in doubt, play 2 Balls

Whenever you find yourself in a Stroke- Play competition and you are unsure of the correct procedure, when taking relief or if you are allowed a drop etc. Complete the hole with 2 balls.

Rule 3.3 in the Rules of Golf allows the player to finish the hole using 2 balls. The player must announce to his partner his intention and which ball he wants to count if the Rules allow.

Once the player finishes the round and before he signs his card, seek out the correct rule from the Rules Committee . If he fails to do so and returns his scorecard , he will be disqualified.

Always, carry a Rule Book in your Bag.

If you have any queries regarding the rules, please email me and I will be delighted to answer all questions.

The best question will be posted on my next rules corner.
