About Craibstone Golf Club and Marshall Leisure

Marshall Leisure was formed in March 2011 by Charles R Marshall, a local businessman, to run and operate Craibstone Golf Course.

Ideally located minutes from Aberdeen International Airport, Craibstone is in the countryside but yet so close to the busy areas of Dyce, Kingswells and Bucksburn.

Over the years the course has matured and boasts some of the finest greens in the North East of Scotland. With an annual investment programme instigated from day one Marshall Leisure realised that to maintain a facility that people want to play time and time again, this was a fundamental key to ensure Craibstone grew from strength to strength. New machinery has been purchased, considerable drainage and course work is kept up to date annually and each year new areas of the course and infrastructure is planned for improvement and maintenance.

The team behind Craibstone Golf Course consists of motivated and experienced members of staff who are committed to fulfilling the ethos of the club; that golf should be a leisure pursuit. We have a team of highly qualified green-keeping staff, led by Robert Hardie who constantly scrutinize the course to ensure it is in perfect condition throughout the season. The catering team, including our own experienced chef, Tomasz Ossowski and assistant chef are supported by an attentive and enthusiastic serving team.

The whole operation is overseen by the General Manager, Derek Cruickshank who also handles all club competitions and handicap procedures, our golf assistant Joanna Borchert who handles all our marketing and advertising as well as being a professional photographer and our Financial Controller, Derek Cruickshank. They ensure that the administrative system is running smoothly and that any problems at the club are quickly resolved. Together this team of people makes it possible for Craibstone to operate and continue to provide golf to members and visitors.
