Course and Golf Etiquette.

Tuesday 16th April 2013

As we are into the start of the new season and having had a bad winter for the golf course, can I bring the following points to all players attention.

Reapiring Pitch Marks   Again this weekend a lot of you commented  about this and again the old saying "repair your own and one other " and some of you are doing this we know but  the problem still happens  where palyers are just not repairing any, one member has had a good suggestion and we will be adopting this starting this weekend .

A Players Assistant  will patrol the course  at weekends and busy days to help with this and to also monitor slow play his decision based on what he sees will be final in any cases of slow play and any bad etiquette on the course. Any verbal abuse of this person in carrying out their duties as directed will not be tolerated and if is the case will be dealt with in the proper manner by the management.

Replacing of Divots   This should be carried out in all cases including in the rough and on tees where possible, again no one wants to be in an old divot mark the game can difficult enough without having extra hazards.

Trolleys on Tees   Alot of players are pulling trolleys onto and over tees, this is not acceptable under the present or any conditions, players using trolleys should always leave trolleys parked at the side of tees at all times .
