Its been extremely wet recently and because of this and the forecast for the next week, we have brought forward and commenced on our verti-draining programme for the greens maintenance.
This involves spiking holes into the greens to not only allow moisture to dissipate it also always air into the roots to encourage growth.
Its not a quick job and will be done over the next few days, but it is a necessary requirement to keep the greens in tip top condition. Now you may get strange bounces on putts but its winter golf and we are still playing on these greens. If your ball lands in one of the holes, then move it to the side before you putt.
