Greenkeepers Revenge Stableford 2020 Results

Monday 12th October 2020

Our annual greenkeepers revenge was played in showery weather over the weekend and the wet conditions helped to slow down the greens a fraction leaving some of the pins only treacherous, there was reports of a few 4 and 5 putts which was to be expected.

Some still managed good scoring, on Saturday, Andrew Finlay and Alan Bloice scored 35pts,  Les Brown and Alexander Watt scored 36pts and Craig Buchan also got to 36pts.

On Sunday Chris Polson got 35pts, David Goodfellow got 37pts and David Yule on 35pts were the section winners.

We had nearest the pin prize holes all weekend,

Saturday Winners were - Hole 2 - Simon Downing (so close to an ace), Hole 6 - Dean Jackson, Hole 7 - Martin Elrick, Hole 10 - Dean Jackson, Hole 12 - Rob Goldie and nearest pin on 15 in two shots - Craig Buchan.

Sunday Winners were - Hole 2 - Daniel Stephen, Hole 6 - Paul Morrice, Hole 7 - Chris Polson, Hole 10 - Ivan Catto, Hole 12 - Leon Grant and nearest pin on 15 in two shots - Murray Bruce

With both days busy we thank all players for taking part and entering into the spirit of things, the feeling from all was that was good fun, and our green keepers definitely won the day with the pin placements. They have done a sterling job this year keeping the course in tip top condition and everyone appreciates the hard effort and long hours to ensure that the course has played as well as it has done all year.
