Phase 2 Update - 3 balls or 3 households from tomorrow

Thursday 18th June 2020

Following todays announcement from the Scottish Government and following the update from Scottish Golf, we are pleased to say that 3 x persons or 3 x households are now allowable with effect from tomorrow.

Our tee sheets will be updated to take this change into effect and you can adjust your bookings accordingly, if you cant change a booking then email golf@marshall-leisure.co.uk or give us a call tomorrow to make the change.

Our club competitions will be re-commencing at the end of the month, scoring will be via the howdidido app that will be configured for all clubs by 25th June, further detail will be advised shortly.

It has been really pleasing to see so many of you taking advantage of the long days and filling up the tee sheets and we have been able to welcome a number of new faces to Craibstone and the feedback has been great from all so thank you.

The following was taken from Scottish Golf's release statement;

As previously stated, we have been working with sportscotland and the government to ensure that golf aligns with the guidelines laid out for Phase 2. It is important to remember that we continue to benefit from extension to exercise guidelines versus this being a full return of sport. This is a key distinction for the golf community to be aware of, as it does mean that some aspects or traditions of our game can’t yet return.

  • Daily time sheets and intervals are at the discretion of the club – the following groupings will be permitted in phase 2:
    • At the discretion of the club groups of up to three players consisting of multiple households are permitted so long as they adhere to the Government’s physical distancing rules
    • A group of four golfers is permitted if they can ensure that only three households are represented in that group
    • Competition play within the club may only resume in accordance with the updated guidelines. There should be no open events run at this time – this is based on the travel restrictions that remain in force and which are very clear in terms of staying local for exercise.
