Course Open Today Book Tee Times
Wednesday 3rd July 2019
Yesterday we held our Scottish par 3 qualifier when the whole course was set up as 18 x par 3 holes.
Easy you would think, not with the Craibstone wind - but even with the testing conditions there were a lot of good scores being recorded.
The winner on an excellent 56 gross and 53 net was JOE HOWELL. Joe now represents Craibstone at the Scottish par 3 championship on Saturday 13th July at Piperdam, playing the 9 hole course, the "Wee Piper". Good luck to Joe.
67 players competed in the competition and the overall feeling was one of enjoyment and the number of positive comments received afterwards about the course set up and how much fun the competition was, along with, it was nice to play something different was really encouraging and we shall defintely do something similar again.
We also had 3 of our junior members playing, Sandy Innes shot net 55, Reece Mathieson has only just joined and gotten a handicap and shot net 68, and Mitchell Sinclair the youngest competitor at only 8 years of age, scored net 63, with 3 x 3s to finish his round. Anyone would accept that in any type of competition.
Thanks to everyone who competed and to our greenkeeping team who set up the course with the tees and then repaired the divots after everyone had played.
