Season Opening Texas Scramble Results
Monday 25th March 2019
A total of 115 players played in our season opening Texas Scramble on Saturday and the scoring was exceptional with blustery conditions and one or two tricky pin positions. A lot of positive comments were received about the condition of the course and the new scorecards and stroke indexes were well received.
In the 4 player teams - the winning quartet with a score of 54.4 nett was Paul Reid, Michael Dalgarno, Ewan Sutherland and Keith Tennant, in second place with 56.0 nett were Ross Mccartney, Simon Downing, Gordon McCaw and Marc Rostant and in third place with 56.4 nett was Andrew Finlay, George Breen, Murray Bruce and Martin Elrick.
In the 3 player teams - the top score of 57.1 was achieved by Chris Cockrill, Philip Turrell and Sean Mathers and the runners up on 59.0 were Kevin Geddes, Bryan Mowatt and Steve Smith, and in third on 60.4 was Matthew McDonald, David Bowman and Douglas Murison.
We also had prize holes and nearest the pin on the 2nd was Andrew Finlay, longest drive on 4th was Ricky Gordon, nearest the pin on 6th hole was Joe Howell, nearest the pin on 7th was Paul Reid, nearest the pin on 10th was George Ross and nearest the pin on 12th was Ross McCartney.
