Seniors 2020 Trophy Presentation

Monday 26th October 2020

Today on a glorious sunny October afternoon, our Seniors section had their socially distanced trophy presentation.

We thank Agnes Marshall for presenting the trophies and also to Val Souter who came along and presented the Scratch Trophy, now renamed in honour of her late husband and a long distinquished member and former convenor, Sandy Souter. 

Sandy was instrumental and heavily involved when Charles and Agnes Marshall took over Craibstone ensuring that the Seniors Section remained bouyant, and this season with everything going on in the world we are so pleased that our Seniors now see over 40 lads playing every Monday morning. 

The trophy winners for 2020, were Brian Race Seniors Club Champion and Matchplay Winner, Bill Johnston Strokeplay Winner and Jim Hatter Trophy Winner, Jim Finn Winter Eclectic and Most Improved Player, James Stephen Seniors Tour Trophy Winner at Aboyne, Bill Cormack Blackburn Cup Winner, David Beattie the Tom Kelly Memorial Trophy and Graeme Carle the Sandy Souter Scratch Cup Winner.

Congratulations to all the winners and to all the Seniors who turn up every week and always with a smile on their faces, the standard this year has been exceptionally high, and the committee also deserve a huge thanks for ensuring that every competition was played and that all the organisation was done with great attention to detail. 

We had a number of new faces join this season, so hopefully we can continue to grow and get more keen over 55s playing not only next season but also through the winter in the Seniors Winter Eclectic.
