Team Matches Update w/e 15/06/19

On tuesday evening the Craibstone Greensomes team travelled to Alford in the opening Gordon & District Greensomes league and suffered a 3-2 defeat.
Wining pairs of Jamie Evans and Sandy Innes (5 and 4), and Phil McBain and Derek Cruickshank (4 and 2) managed good wins, whereas Graeme Carle and Chris Fowlie gave away 7 shots and lost 2 and 1, Derek Walker and Lee Mathieson and Gerald Forbes and Gary Birnie were not so close in their matches.
On thursday night even with all the rain, the Craibstone course was in excellent condition and our pennant team hosted a strong Portlethen team in the Aberdeen Pennant League, a very close match seen the visitors edge Craibstone by 3 matches to 2. A number of the matches went to the 18th hole and could have swung either way, but Portlethen took the spoils leaving the hosts gutted but pleased with the performance of the team, its all to play for in the last match at home to Bon Accord.
