Winter Work Underway.

Thursday 12th December 2013

The greenkeeping staff have started their winter work and because of the recent mild weather even were cutting fairwyas , rough and greens this past week . Work has started on drainge on the 1st Fairway front right  the green and also work on the bunker a the left side which floods a lot when heavy rain is falling, they are also improving and extending pathways beside tees and you can see the small tracked  mini- digger which is owned by the club working on the pathwaths leading for the 18th green and also past the 7th tee, having our own digger makes a big difference and is part of the new machinery investment which is on going.

New Tee Matts have been ordered for mainly the Par 3 tees for winter play and should be in place this week as the old ones are a little thread-bare in areas, i would however still advise players to be careful playing from tee matts as they can be slippery at times with the frosts etc, make sure your shoe spikes are not worn out at this time of the year as it can be slippy on the course as well.
