George Bruce Testimonial Pro-Am

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of playing in the George Bruce ( pro at Westhill) Testimonial Pro-Am.

It's 25 years since I last played there, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the way the course has matured. The course was in great shape !

I shot a level par 70 to record my first victory on the Tartan Tour circuit for 2015. Nice to see Westhill Golf Club recognise George's commitment, contribution and service to the club for the past 21 years. Well done George, you are a class act!

I played pretty solid, but the key to my score was my short game and course management! I got up and down from 2 green side bunkers, 25 yards from the pin! And hit a lot of 4/5 irons on short par 4's, which could have been reached with a good drive( but the penalty for missing the fairway would have been a lost ball!

The game is all about making Good Decisions and Scrambling with your wedges and Putter!
