This article is for all of you who are keen to improve your golf swing , even when the course is closed!
Its pretty difficult to motivate yourself ,and head to the driving range or practice area when it's FREEZING!!!!!
In most cases its counter productive,as you can't swing with 6 layers on or feel your fingers!
So- I hear you ask, what can I do to help improve my golf swing.
1- Improve your Body Pivot! The single most important move to improve the quality of your golf shots is to Improve your body rotation-
Standing in your golfing posture set up, cross both hands over opposite shoulders, keeping both feet flat on the floor, turn your right shoulder and hip behind you,( opposite shoulder for leftys) as if looking over your right shoulder- then make a follow thru turning back and thru to your left side- don't worry if you need to lift your target foot on the backswing.
Doing this excercise regularly will increase your range of motion.
2- Holding a 6 iron at the Clubhead with your trail hand, stand and swing the club around your body, when done correctly with the grip end a foot off the floor , you will hear a Swhishing sound- this is clubhead speed and is required to send the ball a long way- you should have a sense of freedom and softness in your body and arm- if you tense up, you will slow the Clubhead down and end up with a short shot and a crooked one.
